Title: Red Light in Scoop Removal
Post by: 67#0083 on April 24, 2020, 02:57:53 PM
I am painting an early "red light" car. The lenses in the scoops haven't been removed in decades. It looks like they should come off with a counter-clockwise turn, but I don't want to break them trying something incorrect. Please advise! Thanks

Yes, they just twist off.  Lens has 2 lugs.

If by chance you have the interior out could you post some pics of the wiring
for the scoop lights? Are the scoop light bulbs one filament or two?
thanks

Bulbs are 1 filament.  They only operate at a brake light or turnsignal.

My car is assembled so I don't have any pictures of how the wiring is routed.
