Looks like the lift operator did not account for the mid engine weight distribution. He removed the front tires and that was enough to shift the CG to the point of no return. Just my guess could be completely wrong.

Another great informative post! That wouldn't be as bad if it was a Shelby. I think we should start a restoration thread Pete. Everybody knows how to fix sheet metal . We REALLY need to learn how to fix Corvettes on this site.
