Saw this clean 65 today at small cars & coffee gathering & Bruce Meyers showed up in sweet dirty duece
That Monte Carlo bar is a big red flag.
You dont see a Carrera six everyday either. I have to go to Elkart Lake to see a similar show anywhere near me.
Yea it's a kinda Utr cars & coffee thing every weekend ,but all all very high end stuff Bruce Meyer usually brings out something nice from his collection & is always very cool & will chat with you .Took my Turbo with me today
WOW.. that is clean..prop rod with springs? Lots of "correct" stuff that I can see.. export brace bolt spacing, grill support, dist, valve covers, Konis with correct bolts wheels, grill bull nose, cant tell if LeMans carb or not, black intake bolts and thermostat housing dash pod, steering wheel, rear seat delete, spare, latch cover, looks real good! Happen to catch number? I cant make out Shelby # ( if its there) on opposite side apron you can just make out corner edge of tag on driver side. Thanks for sharing👍👍

...............cant tell if LeMans carb or not, ...........
Looks like two or three vacuum ports on the front side of the base all blocked off with black neoprene or vinyl caps ::)
Looks clean, carb isn't correct to my eyes. Would love to know number
Cheers
Yeah, hood hinge and a prop rod on a non-original hood....and Yes, that 906 Porsche is nice!
I didn't get a good full engine bay picture but this one shows the tag ,cars was in beautiful condition in & out looked to be a very fresh restoration
This guy did a nice job in my opinion. He did the research and paid attention to details. Hope mine is as nice. As high as prices of these car go, just seeing a clone, copy, tribute car is great. Seeing people drive and show them is AWESOME. You could always sink more money in them. I know what it takes to do this as well as a lot on this forum knows. Buttontop, LeMans carb, correct valve covers, easily another 2,000.00 Hunting for correct parts even for an original, one can can spend a lot of time. Again thanks for posting. A BEAUTIFUL CAR IS STILL A BEAUTIFUL CAR!👍😉😊
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I never leave the hood up on my '66 without being next to the car. One idiot with a screwdriver and the VIN tag is gone.

Still see a beautiful car but IMO I would not be so quick to say "he did his research and paid attention to details". I see a lot of Shelby 101 mistakes on details and can only assume it was because he did not do his research on the given areas. Of course that is in regards to the historical details which is obvious by the build that the person was going for. Just my point of view .Others will no doubt have different.
Yed Bob you are right as usual... wiper pivots another.. does it have overrides, horn switch ... interested in what you see👍😉😊 or I dont.
Looks like a 66 drivers fender.

I believe Clone65 is referring to these below the wiper. See pic which are missing from the car.

I believe those are '66 wiper arms, not '65.

Two different styles were used in 65. It depends on when the car was built. early 65's were like your picture. Later 65's had a different cowl and didn't use the chrome rings. The later 65 wiper arm did have the flange like 66 but was polished stainless and chrome instead of the dull stainless .

Thought that might me it but he never responded. The example I posted is from a 65 Shelby. As Bob posted not all had the threaded on bezels and straight sided wiper arm bases. Approx about 40% or so of them ;)
Valve covers are "tall" repops for use with roller rockers. Could be a nice original 65 with mods...
Yes sfm5s0000, those are the ones i was referring to, i have lots to learn as i didn't know of two different styles. Thanks for the info👍
