I have them on the 15 inch 10 spokes with no problems.

Jim Cowles talked about this issue with the 14's. You need to contact him at Shelby Parts and Restoration in Greenbay, WI.

I am running Goodyear 235/60R-14 on 66 ten spokes with no problems.  I do recall, not sure these tires or not, but a time when they put the wheel and tire into a cage and pressurized really high to get the bead to seat.  It was kind of scary to watch.  It could have blown the wheel apart, but it worked and the tire seated on the bead.

Best of luck.

i've also run 235/60X14's (Goodyear Gatorbacks) on '66 10-spokes with no issues.

I get a lot of tyres mounted, mostly to 15x7 wheels. One brand nearly always needs the compressed air blast in order to seat them. Guy at the tyre shop says it's due to improper storage which flattens the tyre

The tire pressure warning on the side of the tire is new within the last 20 years or so.

In the 60s and 70s I always saw full tank pressure used to seat the tires. I presume that is like my present compressor with 150 psi?

The tires would seat with just one hit from the tank. The Schrader valve was always removed. I never saw a tire explode but I have blown up a couple of bicycle tires. The noise hurts and the last one I was def for a day or so.

I can hear now but I'm still wacky. Maybe that's normal though?
