How that made a difference in the ride. The ones on it had flat spotted from sitting for so long.
I am so amazed at what a great car it is, I run it to 6K on the tach and it is like she wants to go to 7K or more. It is easy to see why these cars were so loved back then and now.
The guys at the tire place were very accommodating to me as I told them I need to drive it in and out and I need to show them where to put their jacks with pads. They loved it and I am very blessed to be the caretaker.
Yes they R a sheet ton of fun to drive and nothing else compares.
What size rubber did you go with?

I went with 215 70 R15's
Most wheel/tire places are fine with bringing just the wheels/tires to them and swap out. I'm too paranoid and would never have allowed a shop to jack the car up like that, especially with no jack stands

Love your car, looks great. Gotta agree with Charles. I would be sweating with no jack stands.
Love the steel wheels!
What brand of tires did you go with if you don't mind telling?

+1
I raced local circle track back in the 90's and the track promoter/owner STRESSED that if he ever seen a race car jacked up with no stands, the driver, car and crew were banned for 4 straight races, no exceptions.
But seems that a lot of these tire centers are using only jacks like the photo above. But I'm sure if the car owner says he wants stands, then the tire center should respect the owners wishes.
I wonder how long their floor jack pistons last.

I went with Century as they will be dry rotted before I put 40K miles on them :)
