I have observed the transmission mount and transmission cross member may have been color coded, see photos.
Can anyone else provide additional input on this topic?

I have not seen a color code on the SB metal trans mount of 67-70 on the many I have seen . I typically see the SB trans rubber mount with yellow paint mark . I have seen the blue and yellow on service parts too . Blue is in the extreme minority in that context too . FYI the stenciled part number pictured on the mount is typical of a service part not a assemblyline part.
The photo of the transmission mount is on a early GT350 built in Nov 67 and I was hoping to find an explanation for the blue paint, I also agree the mount is a service replacement part.
Agree that the metal transmission cross brace/bracket had no paint identifier.
Mike does your transmission mount have a Ford engineering number on it?
Do have other examples big and small block 4 speeds with green or blue marks I've seen (as well as the yellows) Can't be sure which are possible replacements or originals. Have yellow service replacement examples (with the same stamped part number style as yours) also
Sorry to add to the confusion - just sharing

As long as you are adding to the confusing ;) ;D Now I don't feel bad in adding that I typically see red on BB rubber trans mounts.
Just one of the subjects where the evidence so far has not provided a clear or definite pattern
Would have been great if we had gotten engineering numbers with the marks or had a way to determine which had been replaced
69 big block c9za red 70 bigblock green dooa 71 bigblock d1za orange brushed painted on 1 side only

C8 for which application or part number?
Have two C8ZZ *part number stamped service pieces) in yellow
The straight ones both sides big block without the center hump . I have seen red coded bigblock mounts with both c8za and c9za moulded in rubber
