To commemorate the 50th year of Ford, Shelby and Hertz collaboration the 2016 GTH was conceived.
A total of 172 vehicles received their GTH badging and special C S M. number
171 were production vehicles
1 was the prototype
156 were naturally aspirated and all had automatic transmission. The majority were rental cars and some were not. The non rented cars were sold to franchise owners or others as personal cars.
GTH 16H0001C the concept car, was sold at Barret Jackson to benefit the Shelby Foundation. This was also the GTH that was hung on the wall.
Of the 172 GTHs, 16 were supercharged and have manual transmissions

minor correction........16H0001C is not one of the supercharged, manual transmission cars.

Love the Hertz's - we did not get the 2016 in AUS, so I dressed my GT up to try and "match" what I thought it might look like (did this before the 2016 came out)
Is a daily driver and looks nice next to S1139
I keep scouring the web waiting for someone to sell some of the 2016 badges (wheel caps, hertz badges etc) but nothing yet (even called SA, no dice unless its a real one - makes sense I guess)

Sorry for the very late reply, absolutely not.
That car probably does not see the light of day as it is car # 1, the concept car.
We on the other hand take care of our cars but definitely do drive and enjoy them. Our 2016 has as we say some day two modifications. The suspension on these are pretty darn good after their visit to Shelby American. We concentrated on better traction, better half shafts and just a tad bit more power. This one is very lively and lots of fun to navigate through turns or straight ahead.

Update: the website above has been out of service for a couple months. Phone calls go unanswered and emails have been ignored. Appears they are out of business. No word what happened to the GT-H concept car.

the word out in the shelby world is that bruce wayne purchased it and wont take it out of his batcave since it is a modern day classic...lol
drive them till the wheels fall off !
