A '67 would need a 7 as the first character in the code.

What would a '69 Q code 4 speed be from? Sounds strange?

a non ram air CJ car(Q-code 428 CJ/SCJ).There are 9R02Qxxxxxx 69 Mustangs out there.  But the S1 wasn't available in a 69. RUG-AE2 if that is what you meant by being strange. Gary

The original heading says  7R   and lists as a S1
Do not over think it the 9 would be  a typo  as we all know there is no RUG S 1   by 69

Also there's no "Q" engine code in '67.

Ooops Lol, I should've been more specific. Yes I know this is a Shelby forum, but I meant just regular 67 Mustang codes.

And I don't think we're talking about Mercury's here.

My point is that he thought a Q for 69 was strange. Not a typo but a Q for 69 is what I thought and why I asked.  I have owned my fair share of Q-code 69s but more R-codes. Gary

Have received some reports and pictures of it happening at San Jose  and have examples of K code transmissions from other plants
