Title: Jaguars and More Jaguars
Post by: eric lipper on September 27, 2020, 10:27:27 PM
This is a little bit of blowing my own horn but it was fun to go to an actual car show.  The Jaguar Club of North Texas had a Concours event this weekend and I took my 65 Jag convertible.  Won the best of all the Champion Cars and scored a perfect 1000 points.  Here are a few pics.

Here are a few more pics since we can only put four up.  The bottom photo was the car a couple of years ago.

Sweet E-Type.   Congrats on the perfect score.  And yes, how fun to actually go to a car show.

Here's my '66 coupe.  Numbers match, original (and still) CA car.  A wonderful period-piece to drive.

Many enthusiasts around the world consider the early XKE roadsters as one of the most beautiful designs ever made.
They are works of art.

Congrats!  That is excellent!  I love looking at my 1970 convertible, but not enough to get it to that level!

Always like early E Types. A friend worked in a junkyard in high school. He bought 3 wrecks and built a 3.8 roadster and 4.2 coupe. I had a coupe a few years ago. The guy I sold it to took it back to England. He traced the history. It was bought by a serviceman in England. He took it to Germany with him then back to the US in FL. It ended up in CA with the second owner where I bought it. The funny thing was it was originally sold by the dealer 5 miles from where it ended up 50 years later.

Hard to believe but this is what the car looked like when we started.
