Title: 1970 Boss 302 Suspension
Post by: 69 GT350 Vert on October 11, 2020, 12:21:49 PM
What suspension mods were done from the factory on a Boss 302 that made them sit lower and handle better than say a 1969 Shelby or a 1970 Mach 1?  I've read they handled better, but I don't really know what parts helped with that.  I know the B2 had F60 tires, but so did the big suspension 1969 Shelbys.  Did the B2s have the arning drop as well, and is that why the fender lips needed to be rolled?

70 boss and 351 428 comp suspension cars had rear sway bars.

Neither the 70 boss or Shelby have the A arm drop. Most likely the ride height difference if any was a result of the springs. Consider that allot of the 70 Boss 302's you see are not factory height and have been modified to look they way they do at owners choice
