I am interested in continuing to drive my beautiful red Shelby into the future (depending) so I am wondering the logistics of a conversion of my car from fossil fuel dependent to electric.
Have a lovely lovely day,
Richard E.
I would either 1) wait, or 2) do it to a clone, or 3) both. I say wait because these systems are getting much better all the time. What you get 10 years from now will be light years ahead of what is here now. But even then, do it to a clone.

Richard, I think you've processed too many legal briefs this week.
What's a Shelby without The Magnificent Sound of Internal Combustion?
Take the rest of the day off, enjoy many tall and frosty lagers, and you will come back to your senses.
My decision will depend on the decisions of others in the next week or so maybe sooner. In the alternative I may learn to eat Dinki Di and become a road warrior in a possible dystopian nightmare. A little overly dramatic but yah know...
I am looking into a Flux Capacitor system for the future in case anyone has one. :o

You can make it work. Just record those glorious engine sounds. Then after the conversion, play them back through a huge mobile sound system!

I already prepared a contingency plan if the goons come for my car. I will bring the Dorian Gray over the border and hide it in Canada.
Wheres Keith when you need him?

You could pipe whatever engine sound you desire through the stereo - ala Mach-E.
The car plays an artificial audio track in the cabin and outside of it as you drive to make up for the lack of noise generated by its electric motors. The sounds are keyed to the mode the car is in, with some based on the rumble of a V8 engine.

6s843 survived three marriages. There is no way I will allow a rogue government take it away from me. I'll put her in a wall and seal it up. I will do my own mining and excavate my own oil and figure out how to refine it. Or convert to an alcohol burning engine. I will sit it out and wait for when the regime collapses or gets voted out.

You mean like they do on modern cars? On some they just pump (mic and speakers) engine noises into the passenger cabin. Turned the feature off on my wife's car as soon as I got it home.

Yes, sage advice. I have been pretty wound up all day into the evening. I am researching prepper information as well.
I make a motion we remove that serial number from Registry of internal combustion vehicles.
🤔
Not even a week as they are stealing the results and this is being brought up? OMG as Jim Morrison would say, "This IS the End"

We know of this chick, Ali that can guide you through the path of electrifying your Shelby, she has a plan.
Oh by the way she mixes drinks also just in case you need an adult liquid refreshment to snap you out of this nightmare....
That story sounds familiar.
