I've never noticed this item on any other GT-350 ( especially R )
it appears to be a rebound bumper mounted on a bracket welded to the sub-frame rail
I've never encountered mention of this item, perhaps tried on 5R002 and then found unnecessary??

I haven't seen it other then this one picture ether. It must have been found to be ineffective and abandoned.
I wonder if the A arm was lowered further and it was added to slow/prevent the ball joint from hitting it's limit.
Might be to keep the shortened coil spring from falling out at full travel.

That is my guess how ever there are easier ways to do that which may explain why this method was abandoned.

Perhaps a good question to pose to Chuck Cantwell ?
Does he recall the modification and it's purpose.

Appears they were on 002. Attached is a tear-down photo and another pic.
I like the Cobra jack. Shelby put Cobra on everything didn't he?
Probably so it didn't go missing at the races.
That makes sense
Great! Now "original" cobra jacks are going to start popping up on Ebay.
WHAT !! no fan warning sticker ?? !! ;D
sorry I just had to
