Great story! "Its only original once". I'm glad they decided to preserve it. Exactly what I'm doing with 04052. Shooting for spring 2021.
Just goes to show, you never know what might be hiding in that tiny garage down the street.
If only these old cars could talk what a story they would tell. What makes things even better is when we know some of the stories of where they were and what they were doing. From their early street racing days, avoiding arrest from the long arm of the law, serving uncle sam, finding love in the back seat, accidents and incidents along its way is what makes them so special. They truly are like family members to us!
Thanks for this beautiful story about a family, a car and reality of life.
My eyes teared up watching it. It also brought up some old memories
from Sweden when a childhood friend, Ralph Hemansson drove up in his car,
a black 1969 original Hemi Charger with a small Hemi emblem on each front
side. Unfortunately he sold it to finance his drag racer.
