Tried to upload a photo in the 66 section but this is the message I received. I readjusted the size to 400KB but it still would upload.
-
Are we going to get this problem sorted :-\ I still can't get photos to load :(
Mike
-
There was another thread on photos not working.
Hmm
-
Big trouble... it's 2018 and uploading photo issues on a forum. Remember the 'black box' issue. Serious issue before the forum went POOF.
-
The maintenance dept. (Ron) may be on holiday or out of town for a few days.
This appears to be capacity limit issue with attached photo files only.
There is NO issue adding photos to the Gallery and there is NO black box problem.
-
Anyone else still having issues attaching photos to their posts?
I haven't gone the other route (adding the photo to the library first), as I hadn't had a problem posting photos as an attachment before the last week+.
-
In the previous post, what do you mean by adding the photo to the library first ?
I am able to add a picture to the gallery, already done so, but still can't get a picture added to one of the threads :( ???
Is there a way to transfer from the gallery to one of the threads ?
I'm surprised this hasn't been resolved yet.
Mike
-
I'm still getting the message and not being able to attach any images/photos. I too haven't tried adding photos to the gallery first then sourcing the image from the gallery to the post. I'll try it and see what happens.

Still the most un-user friendly forum out there!
I would imagine many others , like me have just given up trying to post .
What’s the impact on membership????
-
It's certainly frustrating, as almost all of us (I would guess) are visual people. Not being able to post pictures is killing me! :-[
-
Just tried......failed...."upload folder full".......frustrating
-
Can’t do it either.
-
I tried to post as well...no luck. "Upload folder is full"
-
Along with not being able to post photos, I'm also having a problem, from time to time when I try and log in. I get the following message
"not found... the requested URL/dependency-cathee.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 not found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request"
I have this issue on my laptop and the desktop, both Macs. ::)

Here's the thread on how to add photos to the gallery and attach them to a post. It even explains how to reduce the size to fit in the frame of the post. Reducing the size help to avoid that annoying side to side toggle for an oversized photo. It's an easy process only takes a few more seconds to do than the old attachment.

Well I got to post one pic :) then when I tried again " the upload folder is full" :-\ ???
One step at a time ;)
Mike
-
I have been getting the same "upload folder is full" message when trying to upload a photo for a few weeks as well.
It is frustrating as we like to provide and see photos in the posts.
Please fix the issue.
Thanks, Mark
-
Getting really tired of this...prevents many from postings pics... >:(
-
Same problem as the others are having, I even reduced the size of the image!
-
Has anyone sent a PM to Ron?
-
Seems to work well, if you upload them into your gallery then post them. Copy and paste the "BB Code" below your text.
-
If you are emailing your pictures from your iPhone select medium size and you shouldn't have to resize them. Just did the build sheet below, went quick and easy. Adding pictures to "my gallery" takes a little practice. Much better than the little thumbnail pictures that used to get "black box syndrome" on the old forum.

seems to not work fine...
could not even get past select category..
Just crap, but good to know admin is there to help, ...no wait...they are not
-
It takes a little patience. It took me around an hour the other night to figure it out. For select category choose "User Gallery" and "My Gallery".
Once loaded, you can edit and rotate. Patience Grasshopper.

And you have to add a title or you get an error.

As was evident by the old black box problem that never got fixed and then the crash with no back up.

-
That worked but is a tad big....
-
Hey!
They fixed the dreaded black box guys!
-
It sounds like "user error" should be the message .
;)
-
Quick upload by using “attachments...” still broken
-
Adapt, overcome...just loaded a picture and it worked fine.
-
thanks KR Convertible and Coralsnake ! well I tried loading a photo from the gallery to the 3000 thread and it worked :) bit large,
now I need to figure out how to adjust the size ? I'm on a Mac, would putting the image in iphoto, resizing, export to desktop, then to the gallery and then post work ? the only issue would be trial and error as far as the size is concerned. different sizes for a lot of images. I'll give it a shot.
Mike
ps: can work with this, but hopefully the issue will be resolved ;)
-
Chaulk one up for sarcasm and mockery!
Lol
-
"Upload folder is full" remains the standard response to adding a photo. Great.
-
Why can't this be fixed? Nearly daily someone on here gets the "uploader full" message, meaning useful, meaningful pics are not getting shared. The Boss 302 forum dose not have this problem.
-
Who are those who run this Forum that are capable of fixing this glitch ?
-
Why dont they try harder loading pictures? Seems like everyone is waiting for someone else....just my opinion. I think we have established it can be done.....
-
Not working for me, this is what I get
An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.

I think the issue is more of how many hoops do you want to jump through to post a picture. The old way was pretty simple. Click on the link at the bottom and upload your image for your desktop. Done.
The new and improved way is to go to My Gallery. Add a category. Add a title. Add the image. copy the link. return to the thread. Add a reply and add your picture link. Post. Look at the post and determine the image is huge. Go back to My gallery. edit image. relink new reduced size image. return to thread. modify thread. relink image........
I'm not trying to be sarcastic, those were exactly the steps it took me to post my image in the above thread.
Compare that to the old way of just taking a screen shot of my image to post. Then adding my text to the reply, upload image.... done. Seems a much easier process.

Any place you see the beginning tag "[IMG ...]" just change that to "[IMG WIDTH=400 ...]" and it will be resized to 400 pixels wide. If that is too small try 500.
-
just gonna say me too!
-
Im getting a message tonight, upload folder is full ???
Mike
-
Attn. administrator/moderator !
Upload folder is full message has reared it's head again, can't post an image, text obviously works. Tried resizing, it was a JPG, not a TIFF etc.
Mike
-
I've been having that issue too, have sent a couple e-mails.
-
I went back to the gallery uploading method and it worked for me, but have been told some are having trouble with that as well.
-
I'm having the same problem too. It was working fine for several months but not now.

BIG ! :) Thank you to who ever fixed the photo posting issue !
Mike

Truly the only person that can resolve this is currently suffering through a loss in his family. I would be patient and wait or find a third party host to upload your pictures.

Just as it says. I ran a bypass by copying the image I want and downloading it to imgur.com and then once the image was trimmed to size and saved on imgur.com, I copied it using the BB code for Bulletin Boards and Forms and pasted it here. In essence, I ran a bypass. But as we know, in the end, the bypass didn't end well for Hudson in Aliens...
-
You lost me right after you said "i ran a bypass" i'm an analog kinda guy living in a digital world
lol, thats what i love about these cars.

You can open an account with imgur.com (or any other photo image website) and upload your desired photos to that site. Once uploaded, I click the little pencil on the bottom of the photo when you roll over the photo with the mouse. Then it will allow you to edit the photo for size and anything else. I only change the size of the photo by changing the left box which may have a ridiculous size like 3400 and the right box 2900 mega pixels. I type in the number 400 in the left box then hit the tab button which changes the right box number to correlate to the new size then hit save changes. Then re click the resized photo and a box appears to the right of the photo that says view edit and post. Go to the line that says: BBCode (message boards & forums), then hit the blue box that says "copy." Then come back to SAAC and in the body of the message do a right click which is the code for your photo. Then write whatever relevant commentary to go with the photo (or not) hit save and your desired photo should appear on your thread you created or are responding to on the SAAC website.

Thank you for restoring this service!
