Not sure if you guys have seen this already supposedly it was just found a few weeks ago, there was no other info but i do see the Georgia License plate under the front seat ,i can't tell is this the real deal ?
YEA I think a forum member got it.......can't believe I never heard about it as I live in Ga.........
That is a really cool find. One in a million. Hope it went to a forum member?
Wow!! Amazing find! Someone had an awesome day! Is this find publicized on any media yet? It would be very cool to see more details, however, I would completely understand if the new owner wanted to keep the details private.
Looking at the stripes on the hood. Do they taper like they are supposed to?
Brake pedal - did Shelby's have the disc pad on the pedal?
If it is a real one, it's a later 300's+ serial number or after the cars with steering wheels with holes, as it has the later screw door Handles and slotted 15" steering wheel. Might want to check the registry for "where abouts unknown" cars. As a start. Nice find, whom ever found it. Barn finds still do exist. Imagine that!
Cheers,
~ Earl J
Look at that.
This was the only other picture that shows the other side ,unfortunately there was no engine bay picture ,I found it on Instagram
All I can say is WOW!
How very cool. Looks legit from these limited pics. Looks like they fitted 'beauty rings' on three of those rims.

Yes, the "DISC BRAKE" ID ring on the brake pedal is assembly line correct. Good eye.

It is amazing to see how complete the car appears for what appears to be sitting for many years. The only piece at first that jumped out for me missing was shifter knob. That is wild.
Thanks for sharing.

That and the signed glove box. :)
waow ! A real Barn find 65 GT350 !! amazing ! look pretty original ! i hope owner will clean it and take pictures of everything before restoration, lot of interesting informations could be found !
Wow, amazing that there are still cars like this out there that no one knows about! This one looks like its been sitting for a very long time. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
Hopefully, the new owner will see this and share the details. Awesome find!
There were 2 Shelby's in the estate..
A 65 and 66 GT 350....
Neither ran and they were sitting for decades
While barn finds are cool it saddens me that such cars have sat for decades and couldn't be enjoyed the way they were meant to be. Gary

that's why i hope some pictures will be public to see details of it ! i m curious for the original fixation of the side exhaust for exemple ....maybe it still have it !
I may have figured out the VIN. Was the name of the owner Tom by any chance? Out of respect for both the seller and buyer I do not want to identify my opinion about what VIN might be.
Not sure of why it should be such a secret, looks like the deal is done. What am I missing?
Better for the car to hammer on it a bit rather than let it rot.....I want one....
Greg,
Since no VIN was not mentioned or discussed I assumed that they for some reason wanted it to remain private. I have seen that in the past in the Forums. Hopefully someone with direct knowledge will provide the information and the backstory. It is a great find for someone.

I hope it doesn't get restored. Clean it and drive it. It looks unmolested just dirty. If the engine is dead rebuild it. I'm tired of seeing a line of 100 point cars. This would be great to see at any show and would actually have a crowd around it all day.

i totally agree , i would do that .
That 65 would be a good stable mate to our 66 & 67.
Somebody got a sweet project.
Congrats!
Someone got a cool 65 project. I too hope that they keep it as original as possible and don't fully restore it.
I can help with the "Signature"
Any word on the 66?
The '66 has been sold. Actually, I believe, now 2 times since.

I have found many great cars in my life. And for that I thank the universe. That is just awesome to see others rewarded with such a great find!
Daltondavid? I thought that you were abducted by a band of roving Gypsies or maybe went back on the road with the 'bikers'? Did you escape? :o
The 65 Shelby is currently being freshened up to be road ready and will be driven and shown as is (even though the paint is coming off) for the summer. Very original car with matching drivetrain and all the key important parts.
Thanks,
Matt
Where can one see this car?
