Title: Details for installing rear quarter windows
Post by: Shawn on March 13, 2021, 11:16:35 AM
I'm preparing to install the rear quarter window frames I just recently got back from Shelby Parts.  They are fully assembled and ready to be riveted in place. I'm looking for details on sealer type and area of application around the aluminum frames.  How far to the outside of the frame is the sealer visible if at all? Any pointers on process of installing would also be helpful.

I believe on the old Forum there was a thread that stated grey strip  caulk was used.  Not sure if the sealer should be visible once installed.

Got it thanks - I have also reviewed pictures of my frames prior to restoring them.  They had remains of dark grey caulk around the entire inside corner where frame meets the body. No signs of caulk was near the outer edge.
