Title: Transverse muffler slots and spacing measurment
Post by: JessC on April 09, 2018, 04:24:15 PM
Hi,
I'm building my"clone car" and I'm using  the stock resonators and a Branda transverse muffler. Pipes still have line up wedges on them.Question is how far should I notch the muffler in depth to seat pipes and I could use a measurement on spacing on resonator hanger spacing  "Inside side of bracket to bracket" as sheet metal  on car has been replaced
thank you,
Jess

Jess,

Email me your shipping address and I'll send you a couple of "blanks" from the mufflers when I notch the inlet pipes.  I had a tool made to notch the mufflers to match the originals and based on the Ford muffler drawings (yes, the muffler drawing has the dimensions of the notch).  I just need to know if you're replicating a 2-inch muffler or 2.25-inch muffler, the notches are different.
