Title: detail on cowl bolt

Is this bolt painted?  Seems it would have been installed prior to paint and be painted -

Not painted .It was added after. Zinc phosphate

Dave since you didn't mention your specific car or year offer the following so all don't go away thinking Bob's response to you question applied to everyone

Depends on if the car is a 65 or 66 San Jose built Mustang/Shelby. Change from unpainted to painted screw heads took place in March 66 at San Jose
