I am in the process of restoring a 1969 GT350 convertible that has a late December 1968 build date. It has an interior quarter panel courtesy light mounted low on the door jamb side of each interior quarter panel. Was this unique to early production cars, or could it be the work of a previous owner?
early cars only up to spring 69.
I think some fastback cars have two and some have four lights
Just to illustrate
First week of Feb built Shelby convertible

Thank you for confirming via production timeline and photos the courtesy light configuration found on my car.
