I am attaching the passenger side A/C duct on my 69 350 and as in the picture I’ve attached, there is a hole in the metal tab I’m pointing to but I’m not seeing a matching hole around the glove box area that can be used to attach it to…any thoughts?

Here are a couple pics from disassembly of my 70 a/c. Not too definitive but maybe clues.

Thank you, I just don’t see how it mounts to the dash though

I don't think there is a 69 Osborn interior ASSY manual but there are 70s for the interior. you may want to look into one of those as anything that bolts up it will show and also the fastener used with its numeric code cross referenced in the AMK book.

I dug out my ac duct and think i’ve solved it. The duct stays in place with a clip…not a screw. It appears your duct is missing the clip. I believe the clip simply clips onto the lower dash.

Not sure where you’d find a replacement clip (maybe you’ll find it laying in the bottom of a box). I see a couple ducts listed on ebay that have clips on them. In the AMK catalogue, the closest thing appears to be something like the B-10720 (shown in the photo). Might be able to crimp it into place.

Heater and A/C components are in the Osborn ELECTRICAL Manuals.

Thanks guys, that makes sense! I might even have the clip but didn’t realize there was one.

Brackets and duct work also? Thanks.

Yes, the detail clarity of the Osborn manuals is pretty bad though.

Well I got the VERY LARGE Ford wiring diagrams in a large Ford book. I'll have to look it up. A few guys years ago wanted me to copy that book. Never had the time and the clarity is much better. :)

I can’t see enough detail in my copy of the Osborne book.

I'll look in my large Ford wiring book and see if it is there.

Can you tell me which page it is in the Osborn manual? I can't seem to find it. i might be missing some pages out of it. In my Master Ford Electrical manuals I cannot find the duct work as of yet. I found one page in the Mustang illustrated catalog 1965-1973 page 67.

I don't have a page 73. Probably mixed up with my chassis or body manuals. Mine are worn out from decades of use. Fallen apart. The diagrams above were not available in Ford's electrical manuals like I posted above. Those are great as they are crisp and larger and my book covers every Ford car including the Cortina and Trucks and Broncos.
Edited. Found the other part of my book. Pics in my book seem OK. Call out view "C" as clip location. Should be able to determine how it mounts from that? I got a complete air dash assy boxed up. I'm going to look at it.

Went up in my 100 degree plus attic. Dug out my AC and here it is mounted up. last 2 pics are upside down. There is a strip of metal the clip part attaches to above the glove box seen in the pic. Gary

Thanks, your pictures really show the details, now I just have to find a clip!

Found a clip and have got it coming!
Thanks everybody.
