It appears to be in a dealer showroom in late 1969 - early 1970 with the '70 Boss 329 behind it..
It does not appear to be a road coupe / street model as there are no door locks or mirrors.
Maybe the large Ford logos or white center stripe will help narrow it down.

Or, maybe, those cool looking Firestone's. 8)
Hi Rich, that photo and the one I've included below, same car, same dealer, I came across somewhere :( back in 2014, I was in
touch with the person who took them at the time, Roberto Rodriguez. His memories were vague, but he's certain he took them in
Toronto, Ontario, Canada in '70, He seems to remember it was a Ford dealer that also sold Panteras. I was in touch with Ronnie
Spain about the i.d. of the GT40 then, but he couldn't come up with a definitive answer, he was looking into it, I've not been in
contact with him for some time now, he was working on his updated GT40 book, still waiting ??? it was supposed to be out in
2016 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the '66 Le Mans win. I have the contact for Roberto Rodriguez, not sure if it's still
good, I can pm you off the forum if you're interested.

Thanks Mike, that's definitely the same car. It sound like there has been a lot of effort to figure out which car this was.
I'll send you a PM shortly. First, I'll try contacting the GT40 registrar just in case he might have seen and figured it out.
Those are the "Gulf wheels" and it looks like it may be a Boss 302 in there with those valve covers?
That makes sense I think considering the time period with the B9.
The body work does not look like the Gulf's that I saw at the time that were built to contain the 13" rear wheels.
I'm no expert on the '40's' though and am always "in class" learning about them. I'm wondering if any two are exactly alike to begin with? This is an everlasting fun subject to follow though. ;D
Rich, coming back to this, when I found those photos, I also posted them on a French forum "Auto Diva" back then, 2014, at that
time it was "suggested" note the quotations ! that this car is P/1037, X Comstock, driven in events in '66-'67 by Eppie Wietzes.
the info in my 4th edition of the registry, makes sense in that the car was shown at different Ford dealers in Canada '69-'70.
Just for reference here's a photo of P/1037s engine from the other side, that I took at Mosport, Ontario, Canada in 1966, I think
June.
Mike
I'm discussing this with the registrar.
He pointed out the door window was masked off to show a lighter paint color around the perimeter.
The lighter color would be the same as the P/1037 in prior racing years.
(waiting for more comments back from him)
Doug ,
The valve covers are correct "endurance racing" GT40 valve covers for the 289 head. The huge baffles are designed not to let oil seep out , but let crankcase pressure out.

Looks like regular 289/302 valve cover with an added oil breather/catch can added.
Thanks Randy & 98SVT, I always wondered what the purpose of those baffles/catch cans was.
Rich here's another shot of P/1037 in the pits at Le Circuit, Mt. Tremblant/St. Jovite in June '67.
Shelbydoug, that photo also shows those Mirage/BRM style wheels that you pointed out.

Yes, but I only saw the other side of the engine first. I would venture to say that those are not G-W heads either.
Here's a link to the Gt40 website with references to P/1037
https://www.gt40s.com/search/691179/?q=P+1037&o=relevance
And a link to a page with similar valve covers except in steel:
https://www.gt40s.com/threads/engine-and-foundry-decals.55138/
Some of the references have the car doing a lot of racing in Canada.

Thanks Mike,
I haven't seen that photo before...just one from the front left from the 6/11/67 event at Mont-Tremblant.
My file shows that the Comstock Team raced the car in at least 19 events including that one.
P-1037 raced usually with the '94' race number, but also shows up with '95' at a few races.
(March 66 - October 67) After that it drops off the radar from the racing circuit.
The registrar Greg K., believes it is likely P-1037 in the car in the showroom photos.
He also mentioned Ronnie Spain's book noted it was a show car on tour as of 1969 by Ford of Canada.
Thanks for all the input.
Weslake heads used aluminum Weslake valve covers , not stamped steel like the 289 heads.
Speaking of Westlake here's a few pictures I took a couple of weeks ago.
