I got to thinking who owns what. So I can attach a car to a forum member. NBD if you don't own one as enthusiasm is the mantra of SAAC. Also in the description a brief history if you like like is it "papered" in MCA, SAAC, Team Shelby. Thanks in advance for all who participate. Almost like a virtual Shelby meet.
I'll go first. My vert I have owned since 1985. MCA concours driven gold in 2003 but like it says at the bottom "not any more" for a few reasons. I restored it myself except for outer paint(I painted the underside trunk and engine bay) and top. Drivetrain original and detailed with new seals. Interior mostly original. Gary
My 2 car garage.
'67 GT500 #589. Owned since 1982. A bunch of trophies from local car shows but no events judged by Shelby experts. Just a car that gets driven a lot and I've never been too concerned about original parts etc. I've kept everything I've ever taken off of it, but I just want to drive it and have fun.
Car 2152, been an MCA/SAAC concours winner since 2000. A friend of mine restored it back in 98/00, which I helped him with. The restoration was starting to deteriorate and 5 years ago and I ended up buying it. What was going to be a minor detail/cleanup ended up being a pretty much complete re-restoration, including a repaint by Hunter Brown of Brown's Auto Body in Missouri (RIP Chris) and help by Billup's Restoration. Was shown recently at an MCA national where it won Gold in concours trailer class. I guess according to the recent judging sheets, it is a '99' point car ;-)

Does in my book!
How about "King of the Autocross"? These were taken in 1972 when 6S1757 was owned by Jim Baker, he was WA/OR bi-state champion that year...

Have owned several early cars over the years. Best was 5s045 This is my current ride my first car ever. Purchased in 1973 a 1965 k-code a Shelby rebody of sorts. Purchased the remainder of a 65 Shelby in 96 unknown #. Had to put the aluminum T-10 from this car in 045 because it was missing. At least I can enjoy this car. Never drove 045. As far as paper I did get my first ticket on the last day of high school, did a burn out in the village square. Right across from the police station. Told my dad the throttle stuck. I think the ticket was 15 bucks.
My 69 no awards yet
Lots of awards.
No clue how to attach these pics.
'66 Sunbeam Tiger, an early Mk 1a. We're the 3rd owners, since 1985. SAAC member since about 1989.
Car had the bulk of the restoration work done in '89/'90 by Scott Woerth to nice driver level.
It has won a wall and shelves full of plaques and trophies in Club events (incl. popular vote at SAAC Conventions and Northeast Regional events) and also a bunch of autocross trophies. In 2012 it was included in the "V8 cars" section of the Simeone Museum's Best of Britain exhibit. Photo at Museum by Andrew Taylor

No awards for this "experienced" car; no flash. Fewer and fewer folks bother checking it out, or asking questions.
