Looking for a suggestion on an aftermarket radio for my 68. Been through 3 Custom Auto Sound units in 7 years. POS in my opinion. Has anyone had good luck with another brand? I know I can send the original out and have it modernized.
Thanks !
I have an old alpine in mine that fit with no modifications model 7165. It's old but works well might find one on ebay
Believe this is the company Dennis Gage advertises on my classic car

CAS are garbage beyond measure. And they
Have been for decades. It's criminal they are allowed to sell them at all
I have many of these cars pass through my hands so experience a lot of these radios
The one that seems to work the best is the retro sound unit. BUT! They are archaic in use. Someone said to me recently "I have to relearn to use it every time" and that's a spot on description. It's a very archaic design
I saw a guy who just used a bluetooth speaker and his phone. When he got to the show the speaker went by his chair and the unworking stock radio looked right at home.

Hmmmm, I see you want quality...nothing better than the Rogue Acoustic Audio system for your car at $330,000 yes that is correct $330K
You will need the help of some Makita tools to massage your dash for precise fitment.
Lastly a spray bomb and no one will suspect a thing, will look almost stock, I said almost
Good luck !
