Post by: Kyle on October 08, 2021, 02:35:40 PM
Hi all,
I have a NOS heater connector elbow and I need to know what exactly from production line were.
They were yellow zinck plating, silver plaiting or painted please ?

Thanks Kyle.

I'm told that they were all yellow cad but the yellow is just a die that eventually washes off leaving just the silver zinc visible.

Yes I think that they were cadmium yellow from production line.
I'm seeing some photos on the internet and they are not all the same colour.

You are likely looking at NOS/service parts which can be different finishes/plating if they fit the specification of the bidding for the contract during the period when they were made. Could even be, in some cases details like prior layers of plating or the surface texture that could change the look

Just can't trust service parts for details IMHO

Yes it is NOS.
Anyone suggesting me what plating I can used to look like a production line part please?
Thanks Kyle
