My friend Bill Cooke(retired Ford employee) usually hits all the major shows and takes great pics. While I take a lot of pics he does with a nice camera and never disappoints as his photos are usually Ford heavy. Check out his flickr album page. https://flickr.com/photos/bossmustang/albums/with/72157720040232853 Gary
I'm coming in from Boston. Word on the street is Nick G. is picking up the tab at Gibson's Steakhouse...what are you hearing Brian? ;D
I'm thinking about going Saturday after 3:00 pm is that a good time
Will have a great display of Hertz memorabilia. Ever seen the Speedometer locks? Will have both the two kinds used on display Plus a MICO Master Cylinder and original segmented rear brake shoes

It's so much to see, you might want to get there earlier
I'll be there. I have only missed two shows since its first one. I've had 0036 in it twice. I can tell you, Saturday morning till about one o'clock is the busiest time. Beyond that, Saturday after one and Sunday until closing is the lesser attended times.

I am curious why the segmented brake shoes are displayed with other Hertz specific items ? If it is because of the relationship with the Mico master cylinders shouldn't you also show the regular brake pads used to eliminate the Mico master cylinder given most Hertz cars did not use the Mico?
Is it a safe area there ? I will be in the Hyatt regency o'hare 900 Bryn Avenue , , it"s close to the show , i don't plan to rent a car , there restaurant around and i can go walking no problem if it's safe.... first time in Chicago ...

It's just to show with the MICO master cylinder and part of the story of the Hertz cars, I don't have a set of Regular brake pads to show

Never had a problem walking around, BillMurray's Caddy Shack has great bar food , located behind the Holiday Inn, if you want to go upscale, there's Gibson's or Ruth Chris Steakhouse, also other stuff in between price wise

As far as I'm concerned it is safe. We usually stay at the Crown Plaza and walk. But here is some data to glean over if you want to. http://www.city-data.com/city/Rosemont-Illinois.html Gary
My Shelby is staying home, but I'll have an SCJ Cougar Eliminator in the Class of '70 display. Seems like they have a great show lined up this year. Hertz exhibit should be a highlight.
Jay
We will be there. Bringing 6S452 with us.
Brent
Looking forward to seeing a real 4 speed Hertz, so will the crowd
Thank you for the infos on safety :) i can't wait to see that show !!!!

When I walked in one year and saw the rows of Ebody HEMI verts that just spoke volumes of the quality and rarity of cars Bob Ashton draws to this show. Then the unveiling of the Green Hornet, tony Kings 69 black prototype GT500 and other cars like Brian's 67 GT500 vert tells you all you need to know about this show-it's a can't miss. It is one of a few shows I can get my wife out of state to go to on a yearly basis. I am working on a "part" as a favor right now that will be on the 1963 Mustang II prototype that will be there. Gary
Spoiler Alert!

What a Hertz owner encounters in a near death experience?
One of these? ;)
All of the 1968 yellow, 4spd, KR, convertibles with AC built.
Heard it was unrestored. Ken Funk from California is said to own the car.
I dont think I have seen Ken's car, but it sounds cool
Kenn's car is currently being restored.
Scott
Wow.it's nice to see Ken's name back into cars.

Five Yellow KR 'verts in one place, that's very impressive!
And all done right with hubcaps!
To say they are stacked to the ceiling is an under statement. 69-70, Boss, Mach 1, GLHS, Series 1, newer SA products dominate upstairs - generally the 1st one of each.

Yes, I saw that! Both white and black tops too.
That must have taken a lot of effort to collect all of those.
MCACN should be another great event for the Shelby crowd (the other muscle/pony cars are nice too).
Please take (and share) lots of photos for those of us who can't make it out there.

Probably the rarest Hertz of all isn't there yet but hopefully soon. 68 500KR. Only convertible, only big block Known to exist. There was a 500 convertible but was stolen off streets of NYC in 68. Likely parted out
Have fun.
How's it going at the event?
Steve were you able to have all the '66 GT350 "colors" make it?
When the 68 500KR, convertible H comes in, "Please" post some photos.
Richard, Congrats and have loads of fun.

Wasn't able get all the cars I wanted but what we gave seems to be very well received
Seeing the different cars we have on display has been eye opening many who there were all black and gold and all Shelby
The Red 1968 XR7G Cougar, the Calypso Coral 1969, the white and Gold that does have the top stripes and the Red and Gold car have all drawn a crowd the display of the MICO master cylinder, and the speedometer locks have drawn a lot of attention plus the display of the scale models and Shelby Memorabilia
