Anyone have recommendations for a good T10 rebuild kit? Needed for a standard '66 Mustang cast-iron T10.

I would chat with Randy. He advised me when I was having fits with a rebuilt T-10 popping out of gear
Then another one popping out of gear
He suggested Hooked sliders which solved the
Issue
Charles ,
As I'm sure you are aware the '66"only" T10 is different than '65 and earlier units. It's actually an early "super T10' and takes a different kit. The synchro assemblies and some of the bearings are different. The tag or gear ratio numbers would tell . or the tooth count on the input.

Randy,
What would be a correct, rebuild kit, for the 65, early 66, Aluminum T-10? Since mine is currently out of
the Shelby, I should go thru it, at this time. Thank you, for any information.

Doug ,
I don't know the actual number . I just go to my local dealer and buy kits as I need them. I can get you the parts you need any time.
Randy
Randy,
You have a PM.
Doug
Thanks Doug , I 'll get one together for you.
dear people, is the rebuild kit of the cast iron case and the aluminum case the same?
YES. You can buy a "generic" T-10 rebuild kit on line . I prefer to use some different items while still using some parts supplied in generic kits. Needle bearings , ball bearings , thrust washers , snap rings etc are all fine, but I select the brass and synchro assemblies I want to use. All parts are NOT the same in this case.

There are a few rebuild items (hubs, brass blocker rings, etc) you can get from Richmond Gear that maybe avoids the China concerns. Or not.
"To me" the only acceptable aftermarket brass for a T10 comes from Autogear. I had a tiny part in the development if that fine product. Many replace brass that doesn't need to be trying to solve shifting issues caused by other components. Some of these issues can also accelerate brass wear so it's kind of a double edge sword.
