Title: 1968 Shelby GT500KR Restoration
Post by: Banzainj on March 01, 2022, 01:49:33 PM
If this is not the correct place for this please let me know.
I have a 1968 GT500KR that has been sitting since about 1980, the car is mostly apart and I have most of the parts, I am looking for a shop in or near Dallas or Houston, TX to rebuild my car (I will travel a little further for a good shop).  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I am not looking for concours, this car will be driven ;)

Not all that far north of Dallas, in NE Oklahoma, is Billups Restorations.  You might check them out; call for Jason.  They are doing a KR at this time, among others.

Folks: any new recommendations for a Houston-area restoration shop for my '67 GT500? Thank you.

Not sure what your definition of "restored" is but if your looking to do a quality car that you could show anywhere you likely should consider traveling a little. There are others but a greater distance from you

I would suggest that you contact and consider Billups Classic Cars up in Colcord, OK. Not too far considering everything.

Well some of Jason's cars were the Green Hornet and Little Red. Tony King's 1969 black GT500 prototype. Great guy and one of the best restorers. https://www.foxnews.com/auto/little-red-1967-mustang-shelby-gt500
