Car bump steers a bit don't it? He's rough on the clutch, if you shift it down like that to slow it, you will wear the clutch lining like brakes.

Who's driving it? Sounds like a small block not a 427?

i assume he's used to driving 10/10ths if he's the lap record holder at Goodwood, where they slide the american v8's around (i.e. Cobra's & GT40's)

Lucky he didn't collect a tree with that spin.

Considering that in Europe the Vintage race cars use Dunlop or Avon vintage spec. tires that GT40 handled very well. The downshifts seemed fine to me, no harshness, with rev. matched heel/toe downshifts.

I was going to say the same thing. Using the sweet spot where the engine seemed to like it best, not flogging the living Hell out of it, and well-timed throttle blips and down shifts. The alarming thing is all the trees and rock walls that could reach out and touch someone. :-\ Fun to watch though-

Great video.   Really shows what a handful those cars were, especially on the bumpy parts.

Hard to tell on my computer...is redline 8000 rpm, and he's between 6500 and 8000 virtually all of the time?

Yes, sounds like a small-block to me also.

He's a very good driver in any car he's piloting, including this Superformance replica GT40.

Well done. Fun to watch someone good at what they do.

Handles the low speed spin out at 2:05 gracefully.
