Title: 65 GT350 Alternator Ground Wire
Post by: mygt350 on May 08, 2022, 04:59:11 PM
Harness has a large black wire with red stripe that is a ground. Can someone tell me where correct mounting location for the lug is?
Its a 65 GT350

Thanks
Martin

Same place the negative battery cable grounds, front bottom of RH side of the block.

You can see it behind the ground cable on this 66 automatic example. Right behind the alternator

Jeff/Charles.
Thanks! That appears to be a stud where the large battery ground and alternator ground are connected via nut. That right?
Bracket unique to automatic cars? Assume bracket removed for standard shift?

The manual application calls for a bolt and lock washer. The stud/nut/bracket is used on automatic transmission applications.
