Wonder if anyone knows, does the car have a Scott Fuller exhaust system on it?
Pat
Looks pretty good. Correct number of pedals.

The car does not have a Scott Fuller exhaust system on it. It's just the basic reproduction system on it.

Scott fuller attention to detail is great, but I don't think his exhaust system will make a vehicle more or less valuable to 99.9% of buyers.
P.S. that is a very nice 67.
Nice car!
BUT....the first thing to do is RELOCATE THE UPPER CONTROL ARMS.....4WD Shelbys just do not look good at all! (they do not look good pointing down either)
Just an observation but some of the same people on BaT complaining about a stock built car are the same who complain when the cars are not stock?
🤷🏻♂️

Indeed. I've heard there may be a SAAC concours gold winning '68 Shelby to be listed on BaT sometime in the near future. Will be curious to hear what the peanut gallery has to say about that one...
Yes, we can only imagine

Agreed...that's why critics like that are referred to as the "Peanut Gallery"!! I've also noticed that most of the major critics and commentators have never even put a bid on a car.
Its Better to have been a participant for 5 minutes.... than a spectator for a lifetime!

Whoa, that'll be one to watch. I'm looking forward to it.

Like it or not that's how they left SA, it was not till years later that owners did not want to be able to pull into a driveway.
Wow the peanut gallery folks have some really dumb stuff to say........!
Yep, like "correct number of pedals"

Thank you! You must be referring to the others as I was only one person...LOL

+1
I guess only a few can have an opinion.
I agree.... that BaT blue '67 is sitting too high.... and higher than stock..... especially the front end.
I'm guessing fresh repro springs.

Actually I was referring to the knucklehead who posted that Magnum 500 wheels were an option........
It does have a way of exposing a lot of people. I guess its got that going for it ;D
Don't get me wrong, I don't like the look of the front end higher than the rear either, but isn't that "correct" for a lot of cars? Including 67 Shelbys? Just curious as I am not sure.
The cars were originally set up to be lower in the rear
$200,000 plus and the question is about a $3 decal. Can anyone explain the logic there?
someone school me on engine detailing on a 67 big block.....is the blue overspray at front of engine on the intake correct?
Yes...
Overspray ..

Yes, the overspray on the leading front edge of the intake is correct on a '67 GT500 428 engine. Ford painted the assembled 428 engines with the aluminum intake already installed and used a mask to cover the intake so it wouldn't get painted. The mask covered the intake, but not completely, causing overspray on the edge of intake
For the small block cars, Ford shipped the GT350 cars to SA with a std 289 HiPo assembly with the painted cast iron intake, which the aluminum intakes and carbs were later swapped out at SA.

It says $295K on my machine :o
With the color and the manual transmission it's a hard one to beat. Just the combination I would want if funds were unlimited.

If anyone was wondering, my handle on BaT is 'caspian65'... I'm not the same 'Cturner003' bidding on the car!!

Thanks I was wondering if it was you. In any case it's a great looking car, not perfect but then none are.

I saw that and thought if Charles is bidding I need to be!! It must be good 😊
Sold for $295K!! Pretty well sold IMHO.
Great for the seller! Its a beautiful car and best to the buyer....
I do remember a bunch of people that bought KR convertibles at $350k and 69 convertibles at over $300k, for the most part it hasn't worked out well for them.
😉
I've learned that not everyone that buys cars buy them to make money. Some people buy them because they want one and can afford it. Plus you never lose money on anything till you sell it. I told my uncle one time your buying all the wrong cars for investing. He said I don't buy cars to make money I buy cars that I like. I've got plenty of damn money and I don't need to buy cars to make money. Although I was raised you don't buy anything you can't make money on as I've got older I can appreciate my uncles thinking. Get what you want while you can get it. Like my dad used to say I've only got one person to please and that's my damn self.
If you can afford it and want it really bad then buy it. I spent so much money for my collection and I will never regret it also if I loose money. Some people buy new cars and loose 50% in 2 years on them, that's how it is.
I think you can accomplish both.... if you are patient, and can buy right.
It's nice to be a responsible caretaker, and also get a little reward on the back end for your efforts.
Going to SoCal. 30s buyer who is into high end European sports cars. “ Don’t know much about Shelby’s but I’m learning”. He just wanted a cool Shelby and really liked the color. Going to drive it, not judge it.
Im not saying everyone is financially motivated or should be.
BaT is 21st century tulip bulb madness.

Excellent
I paid more than I should have for my '67 GT500. Thankfully that was in 1982. I paid 50% more than it sold for new! People thought I was nuts!
