SFM6S1172 is for sale anyone interested should study the following images.
In person inspection advised!
For the uneducated, like myself, please explain the photos.
Missing drivers side duel exhaust support, reproduction vin tag, pass fender number not standard.
So is it a poorly done restoration or a fake as the pictures are tagged? The ad I saw from the consignment dealer says "it's in the Shelby register and has a verification letter from the register",thanks for the education,as I am looking for one of these.

I think you are referring to the vin tag that is not an original.
It's hard to know what the car is or isn't without an in person inspection by an expert. What we do know is there are several red flags.
The bottom line is if you are going to move on the car make sure you get it inspected, some cars have been re-bodied, some pieced back together, some re-constructed from reproduction parts the list is long. The registry only verifies the vin under the tag matches the list of vin's that went to shelby.
The photo that I am looking at of the floor pan, is not wide enough to show the area occupied by the driver's side exhaust mount double skin.

This photo from the BAT auction may help. There are more in the photo gallery.
So from the last picture posted by SFM6SXXX of the exhaust support for the driver side, looks okay to me.
Definitely get it inspected. When did it sell on BAT?

The BAT photo's do show the other support -
great example of why to have it inspected - there may be explanations for why the original vin tag is replaced with a reproduction and the inner fender stamp is not standard.
