Today I assembled my last GT500 engine. As we all know Romeo engine is closing soon. It was a great job. I am very proud of the engines that I had the opportunity to assemble. I worked with many great team members on the niche line. They will all be missed. As it comes to the end I would like to wish all the niche line members good luck with there new adventures in there life's. Thank you to all. Brian Klepak. Niche line engine builder.
The End........?
Yup, look at the smiles, happy, happy, happy....2nd guy from the left does not look happy....Where is the middle finger? Like our troops did to signal that things were not so good? Smile and don't talk or we will keep your retirement?
Things are disgusting right now in this country, yet it's the best.
I believe that they do the GT500 in the 7th gen again, Ford always stop the high hp models before the normal models when the next gen is coming. And they also do the Raptor R and this thing has the same engine like the GT500 so where do they get these engines?
Ford is going to LeMans with the 2023 Mustang. Look for 100 FIA homologation specials by Multimatic to get sold to an influencer near you soon. My guesstimate 300-400 grand each with the usual 2 year no sale contract.
From the Multimatic site
A stable of Mustangs: Since 2005 Ford has trusted Multimatic to develop and produce generations of road-race Mustangs, including the FR500C, FR500GT3, Boss 302R, Shelby GT350R-C and the current Mustang GT4.
My fear is it will have an electric drivetrain if they bring it back, like the atrocious thing they call a Mustang Mach E.
Since Ford loves to recycle names, it will be the Boss E.

Did you say bossie ?
In sentence form :
that mustang was just to bossie for the crowd
The curbs of the world will be glad to see the demise of the GT500. They have been the victims of random assaults by the Mustang since their inception.
I guess Ford got tired of paying a tribute the Shelby American? Or they are bowing to the Democrats and gearing up for the disastrous vision of an all E.V. World...

Ford does not pay tributes to anyone. Otherwise there'd be a Henry or Edsel. Ford uses names and associations to sell cars - PERIOD.
When the SVO & SVT names didn't add enough to the bottom line they used Cobra. When that also didn't work the decided to use a trademark they already owned GT500 to again hire Carroll Shelby to be the face of their performance Mustang which was 100% developed by SVT prior to their hiring of CS. When they first went to him he wanted $1,000 per car for them to use his name and likeness with the car. They ended up giving him a multi year personal services contract for 12 million. CS Mustangs of that era were called Shelby GT because he didn't own GT350 and was only allowed to use Cobra on 2 seat cars.
I think Bullitt is probably gone since an EV Bullitt won't appeal to any McQueen fan. The Mach 1 rebirth wasn't a big seller and they've ruined that one with Mach-E.
As a little tidbit on SA - Ford does not allow inhouse testing to exceed 80%. They hire testing above that level out to outside companies. One of their testers is SA. They don't develop but test at max levels and suggest changes.
But I'm waiting for GM to tag an EV with the proper pre used moniker - BLAZER.

OK - maybe a Firebird will be next.
Maybe the Fusion will return as a flying car powered by hydrogen, fusion processed into helium. Drivers will have funny voices. 8)
Thomasville Ford in Georgia has a new GT 500 in Eruption Green. I didn't know the Mustang had a Green in 2022. Looks pretty good. I may have to take a ride up there and see it in person. MSRP is just under $103K.

Now that's a 3H award winner there folks !
Forget complaints about the carbon footprint, you are going green! 8)
What exactly erupts in green? Pukeing and farting come to mind. Not a great name for a color.
Color looks close to the Aston Martin racing shade ?
I keep looking at that green thing...

Yeah, makes me wonder....... I didn't even know that the Mustang came in a Green for 2022 and that car is the first one I seen so far so, with that said, I wonder how many 2022 Shelby's were built in that Green?
