Hi WASAAC guys,
What's the story on this car? Notice the absent "H" in the side stripe. Do you suppose this was done back in the late 60's to lesson the attention to it being an ex-rental? I have heard that the "H" designation was removed from some cars to this very end.

One of the comments on the thread was "I think this car used to sit in Lakewood, Washington about 15 years ago. I remember seeing a black and gold Shelby in a guy's driveway that looked just like this with faded stripes and all...."
Thanks
Cory
Nice ride, thanks for sharing
6S1397 - we discussed it a few years ago here: https://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=6808.msg57722#msg57722 (https://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=6808.msg57722#msg57722)
I believe the owner inherited it from his Dad.
Hans used to see it at the Griots Garage cruise-in back in 2017. It's a cool car. :)
** It's possible the comment about seeing one in a driveway in Lakewood, WA could have been Bud Mitz's car (not this one). Not sure, but just a guess based on stories of that car sitting in the driveway for 30-40+ years in Lakewood. Wedgeman will know.
Hi Brian,
Your memory is better than mine. That other post was also mine. LOL
Thanks
Cory
Car has Pantera wheels on it.

+1 on the Campys.
In the 80-90s there was a 66 GT350 in SoCal running Pantera wheels. He had to massage the wheel wells to get them to work.
I'm thinking about putting my set of Pantera wheels on my 69 big block GT coupe along with a set of nice Avon tires. Either 245s all around or 245-275 combo.
