I'm a little surprised this hasn't been posted already.
This year's MCACN will feature a invitational Shelby display of 6 out of the 10 built 65 GT 350's known as the "Prototype Street Cars" according to MCACN's pre-event magazine. Car #10 and #13 will be displayed along with 4 other 65 Shelby prototypes.
Chuck Cantwell is also to be at the display.
More information can be found at www.MCACN.com

003 will be there. This is quite a significant gathering of prototype cars, likely to never happen again.
-
My #006 car will be part of the display, #009 will also be there. Looking forward to a great time!
-
Stop by the Corvette Legends Invitational, where my entire 1963-1967 Corvette tanker collection will be on display....

Thanks to the SAAC members that stopped by and said "Hi", the early GT350 display was pretty amazing too.

Did you wash and wax it? I hope not, that car is the most unrestored early car out there

No, but I did clean the windows ;D. I also returned it to the bumper front end and proper rocker stripes, complete with matching patina! A shout out to Tim Lea for the excellent work!

Great pictures keep them coming

I spoke to one Shelby owner who entered his in Pinnacle Certification. He was very impressed with the judges knowledge, information, and attitudes. He said it was far better than any SAAC or MCA judging he has ever had done.

Interesting given the MCACN judges are typically current MCA and SAAC judges.

Excellent point Mr Gaines
I am not a judge in any venue, but have been in the past.
I actually think the venue is considerably more lenient based on my personal observations. Some people dont want real criticism and just think they are entitled to an award. Not saying thats the case here...
Just my opinion, others may feel differently 😉

As a 300 point+ NCRS master judge, I know the MCACN Triple Damond Corvette judging is way more lenient than what we do, so it is possible it is all pretty cursory at MCACN.

Mine also but just my observations of the event in past years

+1. Both times 5S003 was judged there (2019-Pinnacle, 2021-Milestone), it was all MCA judges.

Know of a Shelby that was shown at MCACN last year that only had 1 point deducted. It had received Bronze at MCA before that and then Silver at the 2nd MCA event. Same car won Gold in Div 2 SAAC and Gold at French Lick.

They are all good venues. Its unfortunate that politics and personalities have to be factors. It is a turn off for many people.
-
Does anyone have pictures of the yellow KR convertible that was at the show?

Agreed, it is what keeps many people out of this game.

Pete, I was there all weekend and I don't recall seeing a yellow KR convertible.
-
Okay thanks Bill
