Title: Spark plugs for 289
Post by: paul on November 14, 2022, 01:42:42 PM
Going from memory, autolite BF32 is what is used in a hipo 289. Two questions:

1) is Motorcraft BF32 the same as what was the Autolite BF32?
2) is there a better(performance not originality) spark plug sold today?
Thank you, Paul.

Yes Motorcraft and Autolite BF 32 plugs are the same. Autolite evolved into Motorcraft. I am sure there is a better plug then BF32 depending on your usage and ignition equipment. I will let someone else do that tutorial .

To add to Bob's comments...

After Autolite evolved into Motorcraft, the Autolite brand of spark plugs continued to be made but had different numbers. The "new" Autolite equivalent to the Motorcraft BF-32 was now the Autolite 34, same exact plug.
