Door tag is missing and I have ordered a registry but, trying to fill in some pieces of the puzzle. Like ownership history and what info is in the registry on it, was hoping to share a little info over Christmas but, does not look like registry will make it by weekend.

On a 1966, most likely it wouldn't have a door tag, do you mean the tag under the hood?
Any ideas on SFM number? Can have a look at registry and give you some ideas

This is who you should direct your inquiries to if you only have the Ford VIN stamped into the inner fender panels, and the underhood "SFM" tag is missing.

That was my next post. Speak to the registrar only with your Ford VIN.
Any pics of car itself, colour? Condition
I have sent an Email to Howard, I do have the Ford and Shelby VIN the car is saphire blue w/o stripes been that way since 70s as far as I know...part of the pieces I'm trying to put together.

NOBODY can help you unless you share the Shelby number (keep the Ford number confidential). Should we assume the Shelby number is 2204?
