That Yamaha ad is neat.

They did a couple with '67s Shelby's and at least one with a '66 Shelby
There are some with Cobras's...They must have had a CS / SAI connection.

A Donald Osborne style tenuous connection - Bill Krause later had a motorcycle dealership on La Brea in Inglewood CA that sold Yamahas.

Yes, that's the other one with a '67 Shelby

The photo may have been taken at LAX...
It looks like other '67s in the picture with much of the background cleared out for the ad copy.

I agree.

I have that one and it receives a wide range of comments depending on the person looking at the ad.

+1 Propayne - My favorite also. I believe that is George Bartell art work. How cool would it be to find his ORGINAL artwork for this ad?! Same for the cover of the 1967 Owners Manual. Hopefully, George or his family or a Shelby collector has these.

^^^ my sentiments exactly! To own that original art would be dream come true. To even be able to look it over would be thrill.

While we're at it, here is a Koons Ford ad from the 1967 Marlboro Trans-Am race program.

They are obviously using the template that Shelby/Ford supplied all of the dealers.

And here is the cover of the 1970 IECO catalog, which is a very cool and very Shelby-ish painting by George Bartell.

Courtesy Dave Redman and a part of his collection.
