Never heard that these were licensed "continuation" shelbys....

Serial#00000000?!?! :o
In my opinion, it's either an original shelby or not. A "license replica" can only make a potential buyer feel better, not change the cars pedigree.
VIN doesn't matter. This is another Shelby Licensing authoried heritage creation from Lengendary GT of PA, not something original from Shelby American production. 8)
VIN kinda matters if you want to register a car...Strange way to try and sell a vehicle...The side stripe IS a work of art though... :o

Just what they put in the description. VIN and CSS number in pics below from ad pics. I like the car as a resto mod but it isn't a real Shelby regardless of the "paperwork" in my eyes.
Ah, No
Gee I feel ripped off
The clone I had a couple years ago did not have a Certificate of Authenticity.
Anyone know a good lawyer?
It must be a real Shelby...just look at the hood bow and deck lid fitment... :o ;D

Well....its a 'recreation' done by Legendary and sold by Streetside Classic Cars. Lets be fair, it is what you would call a resto-mod, or a 'tribute'. They even listed the incorrect color..its not Grabber Orange. More like Calypso Coral. What ever the case, you couldn't buy a donor car, and do all the work for what its current bid is at $44,900K. Would I buy it, no.
Continuation of what?
Someone's idea of a restomod Mustang draped with a 69 Shelby body panels, supercharged BOSS302 a little bit of present day signature stitching and maybe even a touch screen monitor! But does it have a backup camera?
Naaaa I'll pass. No backup camera and no ground effects. But then again, it's got the HEMI
Uh, no

p.s. I typically refrain from commenting on posts like this, but I couldn't help myself.
For $44,998.50 buy it now I would buy it in a heart beat. It is a cool tribute car to have fun in . I wouldn't have to worry about damage to my genuine 69 or 70 Shelby getting damage going to the grocery store. ;) It is not a buy it now but a reserve auction. I do not think it is realistic to think that the dealers reserve is anywhere close to that starting price .
I will bet its more than an original
Just checked its listed as $150,000
How about now Mr Gaines?

I've seen nice Mach1 M-code cars go for a lot more than the starting price. I also have a friend who a few times tried to sell a Vert clone for around 60K with a no sale. Looks to be a fun car without the fear.

Not defending it...However, as of late, Resto-Mods are bringing more than a lot of original cars. Barrett Jackson and other auctions have shown this. That said, Im not one who would buy such a car...just me. I'm sure someone will pop the big bucks for this one. Time will tell...
Maybe it is the new category of Shelby Licensed Re-Creation or Continuation. Not sure if that means that it is a vehicle that has a higher cost of modification for someone that does not care about the history and value of the original Shelby American production.
And about that Boss 302 designation. Is it a Boss 302 V8 from the later 20212-14 series Boss Mustang or from 1969? 8)
The block # is for a 1970 Boss 302. Can't see the heads to comment further.

When it is a steal like 45 K would be and you buy it it is fun. When you pay stupid money like 150 k would be it takes all the fun out of it.At least for me.
You are correct Sir!

There are cars that some put a different engine into it and do a diff suspension or PS that may be 10-15K in mods then there are the resto mods that 100-300K plus are sunk into. Those are the "big buck " cars, JMHO.
Too bad they don't know the difference between Grabber Orange and Calypso Coral...

At the 2021 MCACN show there were 2 comp red Shelbys there and one is absolutely the coolest in existence. Cool enough for Ed Meyer to once jump on a plane and go see it(according to the owner). drag pack 500 mile car.
Have a compitition red 70 gt350 vert. Going to restore or sell.

Actually if I remember correctly there were 3 there, 2 500s and my 350. The 500 mile original is a real time capsule. :)

IF I may be so bold as to say its more like Mercury's 'Competition Orange' color. I pained my '70 Boss 302 that color. It appears to be more 'orange' than 'red' to my eyes. Is the Ford version called 'Competition Red'?
Several names for the same color...Poppy Red, Calypso Coral, Competition Red, Vermilion, and probably a few others.

The car below there is a story on why it was never driven. It involved a small accident IIRC but only on one side and I think in the rear so I'd say at least one side of this car is factory original on the stripes and possibly both. I bet Ed would know.
The damage was on the passenger side rocker panel between the rear tire and door. I think the owner said that was all the damage...the car salesman struck a curb after loosing control while taking off from a red light...

Thank you. I couldn't remember the story. So the stripes are in their AO Smith installed location. I think the antenna sitting in the trunk is cool.
