I never imagined that Illinois would have such restoration facilities of that degree to tackle such a complicated project. It's going to be better than it ever was.

You know how some cars acquire names like in the movie American Graffiti the 32 yellow Ford coupe is known as "John Milners Coupe"

This bird will always be forever known as the "Hurricane Ian Salvage Super Bird"

Is the Hurricane Superbird now considered a water fowl? Will it fly back south for the winter? 8)

Overheard while standing next to that damaged Superbird while at the MCACN show last year:
"It will be restored and shown here in a couple of years".  Sounds like maybe sooner.

That's about right,  Hurricane Ian hit the W coast of Florida on September 28, 2022, its complete reconstruction is coming along well.

Should be ready by next years MCACN 2024 or as mentioned a couple of years

When we went to the Vette museum they had a couple of the sinkhole Vettes on display. They were too far gone and not significant enough to economically restore. The Superbird has to be a labor of love because there is no way the value will exceed the restoration costs.
