Anyone planning on attending the Chicago Vintage Mustang Club show at the Autobahn Country Club on September 9th?
Well, looks to be heading toward a rainout. Keep your fingers crossed. Usually this show is a couple of weeks deeper into the month but you take the dates you get.
I plan on attending weather permitting. Don't want to drag an old car to a mud hole... Any chance show will be held in paddock area if grass areas are too soft?
Thanks,

9/*/2018 @ 11:00 AM: Well, seems the crossed fingers worked. Rain will be fifty to senenty miles south. Cool. Always a good gathering of Fomoco stuff, plus the track parade laps.
147 cars on a nice partly sunny and breezy day. All cool. Give me couple of days and I'll post some pictures.
Ah, I will say this: maybe the club (not SAAC) ought to ask if some of the cars entered in the Shelby class are real. No way can a GT 500 be built at plant "F" and have a vin beyond #3225 right?
And, although cool, a "Backdraft" built replica is NOT a Cobra.
The cars mentioned. The 66 GT 350 H has a Paxton on it. Backdraft Kit car. No photo of the "F" plant car. Joe Potema's 69 GT 500 (recently featured in MCA's Mustang Times), and my car #0036.
As they say, anyway, it's all about the Track Parade laps.....
Nice pics, Rod! Thanks for sharing. :D
