Rolex Reunion 2018 at Laguna. Chassis #1075 (I think), 2006 and a 2018 at the Ford Gt display.

Cheers

Also at the 2018 Rolex Reunion, a 1970 Porsche 917. Unrestored I believe.

Definitely 60s colors. I think that Andy Warhol did artwork on some BMW M1 race cars. I wonder how positively his artwork impacts the value of already extremely valuable cars. I remember having the BMW brochure of his art cars.

Yes, there is a series done some were race cars, commissioned by BMW by various artist like Alexander Calder, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol and others.  I think BMW owns all the cars so value is kind hard to establish since each is unique, on-off and not for sale.  (Probably not to everyone's liking.)

I love all the original GT-40s. The Gulf livery is my favorite. How much does an original go for? I like the old Mercury N.A.S.C.A.R.s. The '58 Mercury could come with an optional 400 h.p. engine, making it the highest horsepower car of the '50's.

I discovered the '58 Mercury Montclair Super-Marauder several years ago, while cruising through for-sale ads on Hemmings.

Here's another one from Carmel/Monterey during the Rolex. I saw this Ford F-150 painted in the Gulf colors. I didn't take a close up photo but it was in the background of a different pic. You can see just the front end of the truck. It's a little blurry as I zoomed in on it from a different pic.

Cheers,

Some things are just not meant to be together, like peanut butter and Jalapeno samiches. :-[

Original GT40s are multi-million dollar cars. The cars with racing history are over 10 million
