Hello Everyone,
It is a long story, but 0100 is finally back together and running with a new engine and transmission. I drove it a few miles last Saturday for the first time in 11 years. It was great to have it back out on the road!!! More work needs to be done, but I can now enjoy driving the car again.
Thanks,
Eric
Looks fantastic! Love the man-sized rubber.
And the cool license plate.

Hello JD,
We had 6" of snow by the following morning after these photos were taken. The weather is supposed to be nice for the next few days. May need to get her out again.
Thanks,
Eric

Hello Ed,
I think that time frame may be a little ambitious for Little Red. I am hoping that 0100 will be spending some time with Jason Billups before too long. Yes, I eagerly anticipate reuniting 0100 with her sisters 0131 and 0139.
Thanks,
Eric

Hello Rich,
The last time I drove 0100 was in October of 2007. We pushed it into the Shelby American Collection in late November of 2007 and back out in June of 2008. That was the last time the car was out in public. I sure hope that we will be able to reunite 0100 with her sisters 0131 and 0139 in the not too distant future. Having the first three GT500s together again will be something to see!
Thanks,
Eric
Hello Everyone,
Here are some engine compartment photos.
Thanks,
Eric
Eric,
Thanks for sharing. Such a pleasure seeing your car complete again. For early '67 fans car 100 is as cool as it gets.
Great looking car, Eric. I own 6S550, and live in Longmont. Would love to get the two of them together sometime. Ron

Hello Brian,
You are welcome, and thank you. I appreciate the compliment on the car. The car will probably never be "concours correct", but I hope to continue getting closer while still driving and enjoying it - like it is supposed to be.
Thanks,
Eric
Eric - Looks great. Now you can relax a bit and enjoy her.

Hello Ron,
Thank you. Yes, getting our cars together sometime would be pretty neat. Can you post a photo or send a photo of your car to me in a PM?
Thanks,
Eric
Fantastic colour for fantastic car.
Eric, I don't know how to PM a pic, but the car is on my post to you. Can email pics, I'll have to look at your personal data and see if you have an email address there. Ron
Congratulations! Drive and enjoy. It's why they're here and you're there.
Looks Awesome Eric, nice job!
Enjoy driving it.
Absolutely beautiful car! Very nice work and a car to be proud of. I'm sure the wait was worth it. Enjoy and be prepared for a lot of "lookers".

Hello Ron,
I see your car is a black and gold Hertz car. I believe there is a guy that lives a few miles north of me in Firestone that has a white and gold Hertz car, do you know him and does he go to the gathering in Longmont?
Thanks,
Eric
Beautiful car enjoy her. Looking at your car gives me motivation to keep wet sanding on ours #185 a close relative.
Hi Eric, Yes, I know him. His name is Chuck Outpack( not sure of spelling). He comes to some of the get togethers in Longmont. Haven't talked to him in a while. Are you planning on being in the Longmont Veterans Day parade on Nov. 10, weather permitting. Pretty sure I will take 550 to it. Ron

Hello,
Thank you. Yes, the Ford VINs of 0100 and 0185 are very closely related. Good luck with completing your work on 0185.
Thanks,
Eric

Hello Ron,
First I have heard about the parade in Longmont, and I am not sure if I can attend. Send me details if you can.
Thanks,
Eric
Eric, the parade is Nov. 11, and starts at 11:11 AM. The notice to me came from niwotchiefs@gmail.com. Off hand, I don't remember his name, but know he would love to have your Shelby there. Ron
Hello Everyone,
I took 0100 for another drive today, before it snows again tonight. The new motor runs strong, but I still need to do some carb adjustments as it seems to be running just a little rich. The Shelby Production Order for 0100 is dated 11-10-66. So, here are some new photos of 0100 on what may be its 52nd "Shelby Birthday".
Thanks,
Eric
looks great

Very nice!
Eric,
Has 100 had it's upper control arms lowered? Are those 235 or 245 tires in front?
Looks fantastic!

Hello,
Yes, the upper control arms have been lowered. Front tires are 235/60x15 and the rears are 255/60x15.
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Eric - the car is looking fantastic!
Regarding the lowering of the front ride height - is that just the upper control arm lowered, or have you also changed/cut the front springs?
David

Hello David,
The front springs have been changed also. I did this 26 years ago. The springs are the Eibach progressive rate springs for big blocks that Boyd Butler at Pro Motorsports Engineering used to sell. I can't remember the exact rates on the springs.
Thanks,
Eric
