Terrible idea.
Originally it was said that "Mach 1" was one of the possible names. More recently I heard it will not be called the Mach 1, but rather just have some styling cues from the Mustang heritage. Don't think they will risk calling it a Mustang either. With Ford abandoning the sedan market, I wonder if it will just be a performance version of an Escape, Edge, Expedition, or similar like. I imagine that's where the Baby Bronco and Full size Bronco will come from.

Mach I was rumored also for the Mustang hybrid. Maybe for the next series Mustang that will be AWD and on an Exlorer base chassis.

Ford plans dropping its car line, but they think a four door Mustang will sell.
Why don't they import/build domestically their Mondeo model along with the very cool (IMHO) Mondeo Estate. And add an SVT option.
As for Porsche's Panamera, it's a very competent car, but styling is borderline suck.
Why not just keep building the Taurus?...
