I've been trying to determine if anyone knows how many of the 824 1967 GT350s equipped with a 4sp transmission also had ac but can't seem to find the number anywhere. Is it fair to say that because approx 10% of the GT350s had ac that I could assume it's about 10% for the manual trans cars too or would they be more common in the auto trans cars?
Appreciate your insight.
The person to ask is Dave Mathews, the 67 Shelby Registrar.
There were 52 with AC...
4 speed/GT 350

Bret,
Are you confident in that number? My latest account indicates 51 of which 46 were non-thermactor and 5 were thermactor. Just want to see what I am missing. I know that there are inconsistencies in the Registry, which is where I have gather most of my information.
Thanks,
Dennis
I have the following Dennis:
GT 350 4 Speed 52
GT 350 Auto 81
GT 500 4 Speed 42
GT 500 Auto 83...
Actually I'm real confident...
These numbers came from Dave M

Wow! Hate seeing them neglected but still cool to see that they are still out there.
Appreciate the information.

Understanding the fun nature of the post I thought I would mention something in case the question comes up in anyone's mind. The 4 blade fan prominently on the seat in the picture would not be associated with a GT350 AC car .
And Am/fm ?

Doesn't make good sense :(
I'm sure the owner will get around to restoring it soon.

I saw that as well....... seems nicely optioned car!
Big Foot ect: They get around to restoring it every time they're asked.....
Correct...
I know where a 65 Shelby is AND a Cobra...
Both owners are going to restore them one day...
You would think that anyone who was serious about someday restoring a car like this would at least have the foresight to not let it rot away under a tarp in the weeds. There is probably not a worse way to preserve a car than to store it this way. It would be far better to get it under some sort of shelter and away from the moisture, even a car port or some sort of roof over is much better than a tarp that traps and holds moisture next to the surface. What a crime.
