Title: Thunder Dome Car Museum
Post by: silverton_ford on April 23, 2019, 04:00:07 PM
Looks like a new car museum in Enumclaw, WA.

Here is their website.  https://www.thunderdomecarmuseum.org/ (https://www.thunderdomecarmuseum.org/)

Their website doesn't show much for the cars, but their Facebook page shows pictures of cars.  Looks like they have several Shelbys, Boss's, Ford GT's and Tigers cars among quite a few other cars.

Cool looking place.  Anyone know more about it?

The wife and I did a drive by after Breakfast in Enumclaw yesterday. Beautiful new building, lots of large panel windows over the entire lower part of the building. Was easy to spot a 67 shelby. Lots of cars on display. Do not have any other info, but it looks to be ready to open?

Looks like a few of those cars are Brian McKay's.

Question I have is it actually a museum, or is it a car storage facility that charges admission for you to come and look at the cars. By the looks of the lifts in the back and the fact that they have conference rooms to rent out, it has that storage facility feel. Would be an interesting concept to add to help fund the facility. I do know the storage facility concepts are very cool with the club and all, but they are always in need of funding to keep a float as the margins are tight in the high rent areas. Especially with a brand new building. I could be wrong however. Might be someone with lots a cash looking to warehouse a collection  8)
