just viewed the first electric shelby at a charging station
attempted to talk to the owner but he proved to be a bit hostile
we then rode off into the sunset...
I would've loved it some greenie-weenie in a real electric car pulled up and gave you a hard look, and you replied that "yep it's electric."
Then fired it up, revved it and peeled out.
That's what I plan on doing with my Kirkham one of these days.
Those charging stations are all over the place in SoCal. I don't mind that so much, but why the hell do electric cars get special front parking spaces at supermarkets, malls, etc? They're not handicapped. They have no more right to a front space than anyone.
CA politics!!!
At first I'm like, huh?? Then I see the fuel door on the driver's side and then then exhaust. Good one!
then this guy comes along and says....

We have one inovative type around here that has an electric car with elctric car plates and a BMW X4 SUV (balance for the planet). Since the rules allow electric cars to park for free up to one month at our airport parking, he switches plates when he goes on trips. He knows that the parking lot golf cart patrol has no clue about BMW SUV vehicles, or other cars or that matter. 8)
what tail pipes ???

If I had an Electric Car, I would have backed up to just a couple of inches off his Rear Bumper and parked there.
analyze, improvise, adapt, overcome, neutralize.

Electric Shelby vehicles have been around for some time. CS used to drive them at the SA Las Vegas and Gardena shops and at some conventions.

Hey, 8,000 comedians are out of work in California and this is what you honor them with?
Lmao ! we ran into Rodney on a saturday morning in LA he got off his limo like a wild homeless person in search of a birthday gift for his then young beautiful wife. I approached him and introduced myself as a admirer and devoted fan. He stopped his search and sat with us for close to one hour just holding a regular ( if you can call any conversation with Mr R regular) conversation. We were having breakfast and he asked for a drink . He had us rolling on the floor. And then in a blink of an eye just like he appeared, he got up and went like the wind. Before he left he did sign a napkin for us. Unforgettable moment
P. S. Still have the napkin

Of course my dark side compelled me to look up Dangerfield's final resting place. It reads: "There goes the neighborhood." Joker right to the end and beyond. You have to admire that.
He always had my respect. 8)
I'm telling you he was a very "unique individual " our run in with him at some shops at rodeo drive was how would we say memorable

They have been around since the 60s

Originally this was posted as we made fun of electric charging stations front and center completely empty in a mall.
