Are you taking out a toploader and putting in a Shelby T10? If that is your scenario then I would re think it IMO . The toploader properly prepared and not the T 10 is what the choice of the majority of vintage racers use. A driver T 10 should be used in a "street " driver car IMO. Check out what Cobra Automotive uses in their vintage race cars. Others may think differently.
You do not want to use an original T10M, it is much to fragile and hard to replace, parts (gears) are next to impossible to find. Most serious vintage racers are using the Tex's / G-Force South Derived T10 transmissions.

The race Cobras maybe but the majority of vintage race GT350's still use the toploader. I believe based on previous posts that the OP is referring to a GT350 .
No worries, thanks for input guys, so I am looking for a good close ratio top loader?
Cheers
I just would not want to beat on a T10.
I'm running a David Key aluminum case top loader. Best of both options.

We raced a 1966 GT350 with the Tex's / G-Force transmission in it. The Tex's transmission is their own proprietary racing transmission not a built up original 1960s transmission.
