Hi everyone , my friend recently bought csx 3122 in UK , the story is , crashed years ago , rebuild frame and new alubody , 427 top Oiler , original old uk title paper , stating csx 3122 , how can we be sure..?
Best regards
oh boy-
Sorry, but no, your friend did not just buy CSX 3122. He bought a fresh build to which someone has fraudulently appended the 3122 chassis number. It has been listed in the Registry as having been destroyed for many years, and low-hanging fruit like this brings the crooks out of the woodwork like maggots. It would be fascinating to see exactly what the claimed logbook for the car lists as its history. Regardless of what it may say, it's horse manure. Trust me.

When you say "Rebuild Frame", does that mean the Frame was REPLACED or was it straightened out and REPAIRED?
One of the things the net is good for 8). So..... I hope he got a deal on it. A dream turning into a nightmare.
Step 1: check car
Step 2: buy car
Failure to follow steps in order can lead to surprise, disappointment, anger and financial distress

QUOTE FROM LINK "I am attempting to locate the 1965 Ford Cobra 427 that was previously owned by Curtis Mayfield for a client. The VIN number for the vehicle is CSX3122"
SUPERFLY OWNED IT????????
Does the registry say the car was once owned by Curtis Mayfield?.....the singer....
Yes, it was Mayfield's. And of course people are trying to locate it. But it no longer exists.

I'm sure they just wanted to know from a knowledgeable Cobra person "what to look for" so they could just confirm it and not try and make sure the unearthed car had the items ;)
NOT!

So what's the story on the car being destroyed?

4 wheeled Lazarus??? :o
Ned and others say it all, the east-of-pond additional facts merely being in confirmation:
-No 3122 car or parts of car have ever been reported to have come to the UK.
-No 3122 replica has ever been reported to have been constructed here or abroad.
-No 3122 'original old UK title paper' is known to the UK's DVLA (Driver & Vehicle Licencing Agency) or AC Owners' Club.
