Hopefully he lives up to the promise of venue improvements. Due to it's location I wonder if more races can be expected in the long term due to noise restrictions (especially at night) with 24hr races. But I like the possibilities with Penske ownership.
Sounds like he's planning more types of entertainment there.
Does it say when the deal will be completed? 8)
Damn,and I was going to buy it........day late,dollar short. MANY dollars ;D
It was Penske that tried to block SAAC from getting Pocono the first time. I wouldn't put it past him to cancel out Indy on SAAC.
I don't think it was Roger himself, but he has been on the board of directors for eons. :-\
Convention this year should be safe
"Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed but Penske said the transaction will should be finalized by January 2020 following approval from the federal government."

Kopec thought it was Penske himself on the other line. Maybe Roger just didn't care for Ken? He didn't want the old cars dripping oil all over his track. It would seem that Penske is THE major contributor to NASCAR and INDY car racing so he carries a lot of weight with them.
My car doesn't drip oil but I might?

If it's like his other deals he's been known to sell 49% of the operation for 100% of the purchase/build price. It ends up to be a great deal for the buyers and him as they always make a lot of money. Kinda like all the places around the world that have paid Trump a licensing fee to put his name on their hotel and golf course.
