Title: Steel wheels
Post by: gpm6367 on November 13, 2019, 07:26:14 PM
What size are 68 Shelby steel wheels?

Are 68 Shelby steel wheels the same as 68 Mustangs?

How are they marked/dated?

Are the hubcaps Shelby specific?

Post any pics.

Thanks

15x6, Mustangs used same wheel, but they are very rare on Mustangs

Dated in center and on rim, month day and year

Yes hubcaps are Shelby specific, not shared with other models

There are no shortcuts here

Website is great but are the rims stamped with part number?

Any photos of date stamp?

If not stamped with part number are they any different than full size Ford 15x6 as referenced above?

Look at both links . It can not be more clear

The wheel is not exclusive to Mustabg/Shelbys, however I think you will find them equally difficult to locate on big Fords.

Its pretty tough to outsource people that have been looking at this for decades
